Founding
Help Write the First Chapter
Elk Grove Islamic Center is in its founding stage — before a building, before a board, before regular programs. Here's the order we're working through.
The Path We’re Building
Set Up Non-Profit Organization
Current stageEstablish the legal structure, dedicated bank account, and financial controls needed to operate honestly and well.
Nominate Board of Trustees
Bring together founding leadership who will guide this effort with shared responsibility and clear governance.
Grow the Founding Community
Gather families, volunteers, and supporters across Elk Grove who share this vision and want to help build it.
Secure a Community Home
Find and establish a physical space where the community can gather, pray, and grow together.
Grow Programs and Services
Develop the education, youth, family, and community programs Elk Grove Islamic Center is being built to offer.
Build for Generations
Keep strengthening and expanding what's been established, so it continues serving Elk Grove long after its founders are gone.
Finding Our Community Home
We're currently evaluating potential locations for Elk Grove Islamic Center's future home. Nothing has been secured yet, and we won't share a location here until it's a real, confirmed option. As candidates take shape, we'll post them here with details and photos.
This only happens with people willing to help build it.
